Privacy notice

What we collect

This site has no accounts and no contact form. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to discuss the work. We do not sell it or share it with anyone outside Goodstack.

Analytics

We count visits ourselves, with a small script served from this site. There are no cookies. When a page loads, your browser sends us four things: the path you opened, the address of the page that linked you, the width of your window, and a random session id. We record one thing after that, which is whether the page stayed visible for 30 seconds. It tells us whether a page was read or closed straight away.

The session id is a random number your browser creates and holds for the visit. It expires after 30 minutes with no activity and it is gone when you close the tab. Each of our sites creates its own, so the id cannot be used to follow you from one to another. We do not store IP addresses or browser user agent strings with these counts, and we cannot tell who you are from them.

The counts for the Goodstack sites are kept in one database, with a label on each row for the site the visit was on. Nobody outside Goodstack receives them.

If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, the script counts nothing at all.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and stop abuse. Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives a request from your browser when a page loads.

No advertising trackers

There are no advertising pixels on this site.
